@user051104161995000: it doesn’t get better with time. i think i finally understand that now. i kept waiting for things to change, for the ache to fade, for the heaviness to lift even just a little. but nothing does. everything still feels the same, just quieter, duller. like the pain has learned to whisper instead of scream. i keep distracting myself, doing anything just to not think, but it never really helps. it’s like I’m only pressing pause on the sadness, not erasing it. it always finds a way back—in the silence, in the middle of the night, in the smallest things that remind me of what I’ve lost. and i hate how tiring it’s become, pretending im okay, forcing myself to move forward when i know im not really moving at all because that’s what everyone expects me to do. they all says time heals, but i don’t think it does. maybe time just teaches you how to carry the same pain without breaking down as often. i don’t think it ever truly goes away. you just learn to exist with it. to wake up, to smile, to act fine, while a part of you quietly mourns the person you used to be before everything started to hurt this much.
