@operation_wildlife: Abracadabra ✨ Alakazam 💫 Happy OWL-o-ween from our newest ambassador, Chan! “Chan” is a Northern Saw Whet Owl who came to Operation Wildlife in 2024 after being hit by a car. He suffered head trauma and a fractured left wing. This incident has left him permanently disabled, preventing his release back into the wild. He now has a home with us as an ambassador for his species and will be accompanied by our volunteers on educational programs to provide an up-close view to learn about their injuries and characteristics. We’re proud to offer you the opportunity to support our educational programs by allowing you to “adopt” our public education animals. Your adoption fee helps to provide the continued care of “your animal.” Adoption fees help pay for food, veterinary care, and equipment expenses. The adoptees remain at our facility, but you may “visit” and observe your animal on site during our annual October Open House or December Santa Claws event. Adoptive parents receive an Adoption Certificate and 5”x 7” photo of the bird they’ve adopted! Trick or “treat yourself” to a new feathered friend by going to our website and clicking the education tab today! #operationwildlife #wildliferehabilitation #kansaswildlife #nonprofitorganization #wildlifeeducation #
