Growing up with a learning disability was not easy. It was a quiet, invisible battle that few could see. I remember sitting in class, feeling lost and wondering why learning felt so different for me. There were days I questioned my worth and nights I cried, wishing I could be “normal” like everyone else. But deep down, I held onto one promise: that one day, I would turn my struggle into strength. Along this path, I met many incredible children each with their own rhythm, challenges, and hidden brilliance. They became my greatest teachers. Through them, I learned that learning is not about perfection; it’s about connection, patience, and understanding. They showed me that education should never be one-size-fits-all it should be a space where every child feels seen, heard, and valued. That was when I knew I wanted to pursue my Master in Education (Educational Psychology) not just for myself, but for every child who learns differently. My final project paper, written straight from my heart, focused on learning disabilities and how teachers’ self-efficacy their belief in their own ability can transform how a child learns and flourishes. Today, I work harder than ever driven by the belief that no child should ever be left behind because of a learning difference. Every day, I strive to create spaces where children feel safe to be themselves, where their struggles are understood, and where their strengths shine through. Through this journey, I’ve learned that a learning disability does not define you it refines you. It teaches you compassion, resilience, and the courage to see beauty in differences. I stand today not as someone who overcame a challenge, but as someone who turned it into purpose. My path is no longer about proving what I can do it’s about empowering others to believe in what they can become. My journey defines me as an educator, an advocate, and a believer that every child deserves a chance to learn, to grow, and to belong #MyLearningJourney #StrongerThroughStruggles #FromStruggleToStrength #ProudToBeDifferent #OvercomingBarriers
