the satin under the matte seems to be the way to go too. the first one looks like it got flat, the second one didnt.

i saw something similar the other day, where it went like -red polish -texture-thingy (the lines) -black polish over everything -file (they mostly filled the lines because they stand out of the nail more, so the red was revealed - or something like that) it might've been the opposite colour-wise, i dont really remember it well. but that was generally the idea yk

I don’t know who started that black base propaganda to apply chrome when the best is to use the closest colour to your chrome that you own. Black formulas often have very cold undertones and might mute the chrome. I bet it’s gonna be soooo much more vibrant on a bright red base 😍
