Okay I hesitated to post this here because I usually stick to evidence based facts, which honestly evidence is so important, controlled studies are so important, but I have to share something that I believe has changed my life. A few years ago I was returning home from serving a religious mission for the church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints (long name I know haha) I started having rashes that would erupt when eating almost any food. They were beyond painful, itchy, and oozing. I was absolutely miserable, so I went to a dermatologist. Steroids were prescribed and I applied them topically. The rash went away… for a few days But then it came back so much worse. This happened off and on, rinse and repeat. I was given long term antibiotics that wrecked my system, was given constant steroids that got stronger and stronger. I was told it was Lupus, then scleroderma, then back to eczema. I took eucrissa which helped for a bit, then stopped working. In the meantime I was going to school to become a speech therapist, getting married, and working at a local school. I was at a low point and didn’t want anyone to see me because of my appearance. I started looking into things that were less evasive and found the National Allergy and Injury Clinic in Layton, Utah. Guys, I’m pretty logical so you tell me that you can help me by using pressure points and I’m like, okay it’s provably placebo. …. But then it worked. Like for the first time, I could eat an apple without breaking out into an itchy oozing rash that would leave me writhing on the floor because of the pain. The only variable in what I was doing was going to this place and receiving these treatments. I just barely started going to target balance, POTS symptoms. I’m not expecting to be cured, but my heart rate has already lowered and I’ve felt less dizzy and lightheaded. Hugs to all my friends going through the unexplainable❤️ #functionalmedicine #chiropractor #naet #pots #chronicillness
