In the quiet corners of my heart, I find myself reflecting on the journey through darkness. For so long, I wandered in shadows, burdened by the weight of my past mistakes, feeling unworthy of love and light. Each day felt like a struggle, as if I were trapped in a cycle of despair, unable to reach out for help.  But then, a tiny flicker of hope began to grow. It was as if a gentle whisper broke through the silence, reminding me that even in my darkest moments, I am not alone. Romans 5:8 echoes in my mind:
In the quiet corners of my heart, I find myself reflecting on the journey through darkness. For so long, I wandered in shadows, burdened by the weight of my past mistakes, feeling unworthy of love and light. Each day felt like a struggle, as if I were trapped in a cycle of despair, unable to reach out for help.  But then, a tiny flicker of hope began to grow. It was as if a gentle whisper broke through the silence, reminding me that even in my darkest moments, I am not alone. Romans 5:8 echoes in my mind: "But God shows his love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us." This verse became a lifeline, a reminder that love is not contingent upon perfection, but rather, it flourishes in the midst of our flaws and failures. I remember the fear that held me back from calling out to God. I was afraid that my past would overshadow my worthiness, that my mistakes would define me. Yet, in that fear, I discovered a profound truth: His love is unfailing. It reaches into the depths of my despair, offering grace when I feel most undeserving.  As I embrace this newfound light, I realize that it’s okay to be vulnerable. It’s okay to acknowledge the darkness I’ve faced, for it is in that darkness that I have learned to appreciate the light. I am beginning to understand that my journey is not just about the struggles, but about the hope that emerges from them.  With every step forward, I feel the warmth of that flicker growing brighter. I am learning to trust in the promise that I am loved, even at my darkest. And as I pen this reflection, I am filled with gratitude for the light that is starting to shine within me, illuminating the path ahead.  I choose to embrace the hope that comes from knowing I am cherished, not despite my past, but because of it. I am ready to step into the light, to let go of the fear, and to celebrate the love that has been waiting for me all along. (Lyrics by Marem Dy)
