I’m not bad, I’m just drawn that way x Jessica rabbit fans who recognise a queen who owns their own sexuality regardless of the biases that society projects onto her because of it STAND UP. In a time where the Femme Fatale character was seen as morally corrupt, tempting men to their demise, Jessica Rabbit is unashamedly sensual, embracing her feminity whilst also being faithful to Roger and being defined not just by her looks but also her loyalty and kindness, thus challenging the narrative. And WHY DO I LOVE HER? Well, it goes without saying that I - and so many women - am constantly judged based only on the way we look, before even opening our mouths. We are often blamed for poor treatment because of the way we have styled ourselves, the clothes we wear or the shape of our bodies (womp womp). If I could learn any lesson from Ms Rabbit, it would be to stop apologising for my confidence, feminity, outward appearance or the way other people perceive me without getting to know me. AND A REMINDER - you can never truly see a persons identity purely from their outer shell. Judging a book by its cover is very un slay.
