China is absolutely a capitalist country with strong profit motive. China is fully integrated in the capitalist world economy and profit is the insentive that drives decision making. China is a state capitalist system, kinda like Russia but more advanced. Both Russia and China use a economic system where the state has significant control over the economy, often through owning or directing major industries and enterprises, while still using capitalist principles like capital accumulation and markets. Either China or the US are not great countries for ordinary human beings. China is a state capitalist country dressed in red, with all the same if not worse problems the US has.
