🗣️ OVER-COACHING during matches does more harm than good! Constant shouting from the sideline might feel like you’re helping, but in reality, it can hold children back. Here’s why: 1. It overloads players Too many voices and too many instructions can confuse children and make it hard for them to focus on the game. They need space to think for themselves, not a constant stream of commands. 2. It takes away their decision-making When you tell a child what to do in every moment, they don’t get the chance to problem-solve or make their own decisions. This is how they develop football intelligence and creativity. 3. It adds unnecessary pressure Shouting can make children feel like they have to get everything right. This fear of making mistakes often leads to panic, rushed decisions, or even falling out of love with the game. 4. It damages their confidence If every action is corrected or criticised, children start to doubt themselves. Instead of feeling free to try new things, they play it safe to avoid being shouted at. The solution is simple... step back and let them play. Children will learn far more by experimenting, making mistakes, and figuring things out on their own than by being told what to do every second of the game.
