What happens when two disabled athletes with completely different bodies meet up in LA and decide to teach each other workout techniques? Chaos. Pure, adaptive chaos. 😂 But in the best way. This collab with @TreNuBB23 was more than just a workout — it was a crash course in perspective. He’s got two arms that stop before the elbows, one prosthetic leg, and I’m a full-time wheelchair user that falls apart like Sally Stitches and Elastigirl has a baby. Together we learned more about movement, resilience, and ridiculous gym moments than either of us expected. We laughed until our abs counted as core day, adapted what we could, and failed gloriously at what we couldn’t (looking at you, pull-ups 😅). But between every laugh was this quiet reminder that our bodies aren’t failing us — the world just wasn’t built for them yet. Filming this series reminded me why I fell in love with what I do: connection. It’s about bridging experiences, breaking barriers, and proving that disability isn’t always a set of shackles — it’s a different set of tools we can learn to master. This is just Part 1 of “Adapt or Laugh Trying,” featuring Tre Nubb and it’s only going to get wilder from here. We’ve got leg presses, Tre attempting a pull-up, and yes — a wheelie crash course that may or may not end in a hard lesson. Stick around. Laugh with us. Learn with us. We’re not just adapting… we’re redefining your perspective, one chaotic workout at a time. Alt text: An African American man with long brown braids, two Nubbs for arms and a prosthetic leg gives a white woman with short brown curly hair and a wheelchair advice on pull ups. The vibes are comedic. The woman attempts a pull up for the first time since she became a chair user. She fails miserably and they both laugh it off. She then pops her hips in socket and the man cringes, and shows her how he can crack his ankle repeatedly. They joke around and the video ends. The video is held in a gym at a pull up bar. #AdaptiveAthletes #Wheelchair #LimbDifference #adaptdefy #Workout
