@menzennial: Advocating for children because they can’t advocate for themselves. You can do better. Your kid deserves better. #parents #parenting #advocate #knowbetterdobetter #creatorsearchinsights
Yep kids remember everything subconsciously or consciously and their bodies store all of that trauma

how does your kid react when they spill something? when you use your serious voice? do they flinch and cower? my toddler says "oh my goodness, look at this mess, we better clean it up!" bc she's safe and cared for

as someone who has hallucinations and people in my head... I think my parents should've noticed when my imaginary friends stopped being imaginary, some of the things I said, and they just let it slide 😭

The only reason I somewhat tolerate my mother is because I cannot leave her house

I can't figure out trying to teach my kids not to hit people, and people should not hit them...apart from me. It's fine when I hit them. That's healthy. Mommy can hurt them but they can't hurt anyone else.
It just doesn't compute. If I'm teaching 'gentle hands', shouldn't I have them too??

I always say this. It is quite literally human instinct and a part of evolution for children to try and please their parent and show loyalty regardless of how parent treats them, at least to a point. The parent is crucial to their survival, but people can’t accept this. ❤

I recently saw a video explaining how spanking is SA and that was incredibly eye opening (I’ve always been extremely anti spanking, and that solidified my thoughts even more)

People who spank their children are just training them like a dog instead of raising a human. Popping your dog is different bc dogs correct each other with psychical force bc that is how they communicate, they don’t have access to higher brain function, but we do.

The only time you should ever hit someone is to prevent them from greater pain, like swatting a hand away from a hot stove or something. Never as a punishment.
