One thing that has bothered me since you first told this story years ago ….yes she made up a lot of lies to justify why she did it, but did you ever truly find out why? Also why she was so heartless and CRUEL the way she did it??

“Unadoption” shouldn’t be a thing! It you adopt a child that is YOUR child, it should be considered giving up your child, not a separate thing. This makes me so angry.

My older sister’s story is so similar to yours. It’s crazy. She was adopted at 9 months old—her adopted family put her back in the foster system at 12 years old. My parents were fostering kids, and she came to live with our family at 14 years old. At 16 my parents adopted her.

Has happened in Canada as well unfortunately 🥺 my stepdad was adopted at 6months old and his “family” gave him back at 14. It’s messed up how heartless and cruel people can be.

Not just adopted children either. I am a child welfare lawyer and so many of my teenage clients were just turned in to DFCS by their birth parents. It is so traumatic for them, and often for no good reason. It’s awful.

My parents had group homes, tons of adopted kids given up and sent to the group home! One kid was a triplet adopted by the director of children services and the director had a heart attack and died and his wife gave him over to children services and kept his two sisters

I know someone who did this. They erased her entirely. It's like she never existed in their lives. I think about the child often and couldn't believe they would ever do something like that!
