I’m hesitant to write this because I don’t want it to come across as a bean soup comment, but I’ve had similar experiences and in my case it was ADHD. I’m not sharing this to invalidate or contradict all the information in this video. I’m only sharing in case someone is watching this and saying, “omg, I’m bipolar!” to say, it could be, but it could be something else (I already mentioned ADHD, but hyperthyroidism, for example, could cause these symptoms, along with probably dozens of things I’ve never even heard of). It’s good to be open to different diagnosis and treatment plans when bringing your symptoms to a doctor, and to keep close communication with your provider as you try different treatments (which is exactly what it sounds like this creator did to arrive at their diagnosis and effective treatment plan).

I found out after they kept putting me on antidepressants, and reacting horribly to them. I didn't know anything about bipolar 2, but it alll made sense when I got diagnosed. 😂

Yep, my symptoms started when I was 17. However I was also dealing with losing my older brother and starting college at that time. So I didn’t get diagnosed until I was 30. Welcome to the BP2 club. I hope you’re doing well.

taking an ssri ruined my life and im trying to get back on track now and i dont know how its possible. i caution everyone to be VERY certain they dont have bipolar before taking antidepressants. could end up quitting your job and ruining your life :)
