@firebreathing_sophie: If Lute was created to be a reflection of Adam, she'll never change her mind about Hell because he's not alive to change his mind about hell. And that doesn't bode well for the fate of her character. (Also her song is amazing.) #hazbinhotel #lute #hazbin #hazbinhotellute
I also think and I'm weirdly theorizing that the voice of Adam is being triggered by that arm that new arm something in it is triggering the voice of Adam
like I think the jewel that's powering it gets a light up when Adam starts talking

I don’t actually think that Adam had any role in the creation of the Exorcists at all—at least I don’t think that’s ever been confirmed. I double checked the Wiki and it didn’t mention anything about the possibility.

I'm predicting an Azula-esque story arc for her. I agree with the idea that her feelings aren't truly her own, she's manufactured that way and going mad in Adam's absence the way Pearl was lost without Rose Quartz. But I don't see redemption for her, more so the audience seeing her as a victim in a way she won't fully realize and accept like Azula

That's because Lute isn't a leader. She's a follower. She NEEDS someone to tell her what to do, how to act, and even validate her/her ideas. She's not exactly the type to ask for permission, mind you, but that's because she's used to Adam (mostly) letting her do whatever she wants, which is usually what Adam wanted anyway.

I think revealing something like that would undermine the story instead of advancing it Hazbin doesn't have the bandwidth to explore the implications of, as you phrase it, manufactured feelings in addition to everything else it has going on. And without actually exploring that theme, what would that do? Either undermining Lute's experiences as less real/valuable, distracting from the themes of grief and vengeance and loss, or else making Adam a punching bag for having to literally make a woman like him (and I always detested jokes that are just 'this guy is pathetic' shtick). Neither feels good for the story, tbh.
