Truck driver here. Car haulers have a very low frame. Think low riders but for semi trucks. On a train tracks like this, with an incline, he got stuck. The driver didn’t choose to park there.

I have a different question. Why is it necessary to put such a steep incline on either side of the tracks making it so easy for long trailers to high-center? That looks like poor civil engineering to me.

Truck probably got stuck because of the slope. there's a number posted on the poles around a crossing that you are supposed to call when that happens so the train can be stopped further up the line so this collision doesn't happen.
