if you have a shirt that fits you better, use it as a guide! put both inside out, and line them up, then sew about where the seams for the fitted one are

@the_meganlodon: The hip slits aren’t high enough to release the tension it’s still tight above it so when you raise your arms and put them back down the shirt can’t fall down into place without being pulled because it has to be forcibly stretched. That being said it looked really cute short

any tight tank top makes a great guide for stretchy materials

Crop it pookie! Leave it a little longer than you think you’ll want, then try it on and trim more if you need ❤

keep in mind your line needs to be curved. if you are sewing straight it will do this.

Okie so if you draw an outline while have the shirt on ! Then sew short on the sides of your wrist !!! Then make it bigger at the bottom it makes it easy so you can wear baggy clothes!! I also find TikTok and YouTube as a great place for tutorials!! Try different versions of similar scearchs!! I hope this helpppss!!!

honestly you could get a pack of hanes shirts and trial and error till you find a cut you like, then use it as a template for thrifted stuff

cut the bottom cleanly lower than where you want it to rest honestly. with they way you have it now it looks good (with it scrunched up) just make sure to give it a large seam allowance to hem it

Turn it inside out, put it on and pin in to where you want the stitchings. Then take it off and see along the line you made with the pins while taking them out simultaneously, then cut off extra fabric and your good to go

Flip it inside out. Pin it where you want it to fit, and draw a line to follow on both sides about 1-2cm away from the pins. Remove pins, take it off. Sew along the lines and flip it back right side out. But no it wouldn’t look stupid short. The bagginess at the top is perfect for a tight waist imo

Al Jangles :
looks good short, dont worry, the openings on the side are also fine with a little stitch to keep it from tearing up. as for the chest, look into "dart" styles and pick one that looks like itll achieve the shape you want. they dont always have to be dramatic for the large chest, they can be used for subtle shaping as well ✨

Sew over everything :
I’m speaking very clinically here so no judgement. There is a difference between “I can get it on” and “it fits” the bottom is just simply too small. When something rides up it is actually shifting up to where it will fit. You would need to add fabric around the hem. There isn’t enough room at the hem for it to fit properly.

you need a curved ruler bc your hip and waist are two different sizes basically your waist is small but also i’m very much a beginner so don’t take to much advice from me
