Volunteering is a great one too! Free and something that makes you feel like you’re helping out in your community. I volunteer once a week for a cat rescue hosted at a chain pet store and I’ve gotten to know both my fellow volunteers and the employees at the store

I work from home and started a coffeeshop coworking group. We meet every Friday afternoon to work together and close out the week. It took a while to pop off, but I've made three great friends through it that have transitioned into other hangouts. Plus, we always have a fun mix of people, and other types of networking happens there, too. I love it.
