Unconditional self-love doesn't mean you don't see your flaws. It means you love yourself anyways. 🫶 I used to be completely mute up until high school because I took what my family said to heart- They would used to say how hideous I look because of a mole on my face, so I constantly covered my face with my knuckles until I got it removed in high school. (It was NINE whole years of this habit..I’m surprised I didn’t develop arthritis or something 😂.) Every time I was around them, I was nitpicked about something regarding my looks- whether it be my acne, mole, eyebrows, or weight. I was also told growing up by my family members and people in my community that I needed to wear Louie Vuitton or other designer names in order to be socially approved. I purposely wore the same ugly sweater everyday to make a statement to them that I could care less about being accepted by those type of individuals. I wasn’t close with my family growing up because materialism was so important to them and I couldn’t relate or ever wanted to go shopping with them. However, after removing my mole, I had very low self-esteem still because it was something that just stuck with me. It wasn’t until I started lifting weights in the gym that I finally gained confidence in myself.💜 The gym was my therapy- When you exercise, your brain releases endorphins. These chemicals are associated with feeling happy and relieving pain. ❣️🥰 You are not perfect, yet you are a work of art. ✨Embrace imperfection. Be what you are because you were not born to impress someone. 🙏My mole has grown back.. after an entire decade! It’s here to make a comeback and for me to recognize and to share with the world that you should never allow yourself to be defined by someone else’s opinion. 🥹 Their judgement doesn’t define who you are: it defines who THEY are. We must never allow other people’s limited perceptions to define us. Every piece of you is a burst of beautiful. 💗😽 #loveyourselfchallenge #selflove #viralvideo #foryoupage #fypシ #DDG #barefacechallenge
