I would invest in a Brazilian blowout or keratin smoothing treatment. Brazilian now has a formaldehyde free formula. Both will keep your wave, may relax it a little but will cut down styling time since it’s getting rid of the frizz

If it’s frizzy when you curl it from air dried (like you have it) you are taking sections that are likely too big. Take smaller sections and be consistent, then use a finishing cream for after.

My hair closest to my nape is so much coarser than the rest and every hair stylist is like “omg I’ve never seen hair like this” 😑

do you use any products? like, apply products and blowdry it? and then apply products post blowout, straightening, or curling?

Have you ever gotten a keratin treatment? They’re smoothing treatments to help reduce frizz but not necessarily curl, makes styling a lot easier

Fellow lazy girl here but I have curly hair. I highly recommend getting the ouai air dry foam, put that into to towel dried hair, then use a diffuser on your hair dryer and report back!

Pure Lux treatment. It’s expensive but my hair was absolutely beautiful! Lasted about 4 months.

I usually air dry, Use a straightener to curl it. That’s the only way mines not frizzy, but I don’t straightenen it much but if I do I put hair oil in it

I have this hair, unfortunately you do have to blow dry it every time to avoid frizz. It’s very annoying

I have the same hair as you. I blow dry my hair with a paddle brush and hold the dryer pointed down to smooth the hair, then it’s poofy but straight so you can curl it! If I air dry, I hit the roots with a straightener and curl the bottoms!

I have similar hair to yours. I have a blowout cream that I’ve been loving using. I feel like my hair after blow drying is a bit straighter and then I have to put the straightener through it less and it keeps more of its volume. I have the Monet one but will be trying a different one when it runs out that I don’t have to have a subscription for haha

Hair stylist here! Looks like you have similar texture to mine! I think you need a good trim to give you a little more shape and some good products! I use ColorWow shampoo and conditioner and blow dry with the Dream Coat- it will help smooth you out and fight the frizz. Thermal protection is a MUST whenever you’re adding heat. Also if you straighten then curl, the curls won’t stay because you have made it straight instead of in the curl pattern- if that makes sense

I’m going through this too. Unfortunately it’s all effort and time. I have a big barrel curling iron, I’ll divide hair at the crown, curl the bottom and spray. Clip it back, curl the top, spray. Pray it stays curled. Or I’ll sleep with the overnight “robe sash” curl method.

I did all of the things too. Now I air dry and use a lot of air dry spray from Garnier Fructis Pure Clean, it’s a target. Then I let it be whatever it wants 🤣

There is a noticeable difference in the appearance of your hair, in at least the last 3/4 inches. I think you definitely need a trim. Try your routines again after a trim and see what changed. I think that's what's making it frizzy especially.
