@skyhighthaisi: So I jumped out of a taxi at Pantip Plaza—traffic chaos—and thought I’d walk to the mall for rolling tobacco. I should’ve known better: after a torrential downpour, the sois off the main road were completely flooded. Not raining from above. Then this motorbike taxi guy appears, takes me on the pavement to dodge the flood-water, and drops me safely at the mall. He asks for 20 baht. I hand him 100.
