I only watched SG1 sporadically growing up so I recently started watching it from the start. and I picked up on this pretty quickly however I got a bit frustrated that when they got into a situation with the gate similar to one episode from the previous season but didn't have the same answer ready to go(specifics in reply) that and a couple other things made me take a break

That was the core of the show though? Enterprise is meant to show a new inexperienced race getting in trouble due to said lack of experience 😂 There is a whole episode where the concept of the Red Alert (Reed alert 😂) is developed even.
