Last few bad storms in the last couple years took days to get done. I had to call in to work for it. Hopefully this helps. But pre-storm preparation is importent too. Treating the roads before they get bad helps a lot.

My dad and my brother were supervisors at Highway Maintenance & Public Services. They both were in charge of snow removal back in the day not lately. When I was a kid I remember my dad going to his list to started calling his crews to report for snow plowing. This was in the 60's & 70's.
