When official health pages start sewing recycled doubt about vaccines, the scientific question isn’t the problem. The communication and those in charge are.   The real issue is that parents are already carrying the mental load of sorting real threats from imagined ones. When an authority adds uncertainty without new evidence, it drains that trust fast. Not because parents don’t understand science, but because mixed signals make it harder to tell what actually deserves attention.

Not because parents don’t understand science, but because mixed signals make it harder to tell what actually deserves attention.   "Dr. Mona..new questions and studies are good!" Not when it's recycled and we don't see clinical concern: If they want to run new studies, fine. But those studies need to meet the exact same level of scrutiny and scientific standards they’re using to criticize the existing research. You don’t get to hold decades of strong evidence to one bar and then lower the bar for whatever comes next.   Here’s the part that often gets missed: Autism research isn’t stuck. We understand far more about autism today than we did 10 or 20 years ago.   Genetics, early brain development, and environmental factors within pregnancy explain far more than the timing of routine infant vaccines ever could.   That’s why the scientific focus has shifted to prenatal health, early support, access to services, and reducing barriers to diagnosis.   So instead of circling back to a question that’s already been answered many times and spending MONEY on this, families would benefit far more from: ➡️better access to early intervention ➡️reducing waitlists for developmental evaluations ➡️supporting caregivers ➡️improving prenatal and maternal health ➡️addressing environmental exposures that actually show biological pathways   Those are real gaps that deserve attention. That’s also where science is moving — and where parents need support.   For the time being as it relates to vaccines, I will not be using their resources as a primary referral. It is highly concerning this is on their website.
