love this!!! i didn't find jean jacket to be a villain at all - i connected jean jacket's story to gordy's and the horses' stories, all to say that u cannot control an animal (not really). Like you have to respect every being's existence on earth and humans' refusal to respect all living creatures will be their downfall.

when I try to discuss how much I loved the villain reveal in nope, a lot of my friends didn't get it. I loved that it wasn't a solid geometrical shape or anything, even remotely human it was so truly alien. when I entered the screen I felt the sense of genuine anxiety as it expanded and chased them. nope is actually my favorite of all the Jordan Peele films.
