I too have had assistance when I was raising my kids alone. I can’t imagine what I would have done without it. It breaks my heart to think of all the families that are suffering now. I want to scream at the unimaginable a$$es that have stupid things to say. Yes, it’s time to step up and be the community these people need.

Yup! And I was on WIC, specifically because I was married to an active duty service member. Definitely would’ve qualified for food stamps as well.

The GOP has taken away any safety nets for employees. Which makes the turnover rate huge. I've needed assistance before they make you jump through hoops to receive them.

Exactly. I had food stamps aka the paper "Monopoly money"-looking coupons in 1990 until my baby was born and my then-husband found a job. I'm so thankful that was available to help us. I will never fault anyone for using SNAP or other benefits for needed help.

I’ve had assistance for health care … I’ve worked all my life and some small businesses can’t afford to provide benefits for their employees. So I’ve paid into all this so why can’t I get the help I need … Thank you for educating the ones who have no Clue … GTFOH 🫶🌹
