Manaslu Circuit Trek – The Descent (PART 7) The most challenging part of the Manaslu Circuit trek is the downhill section after the Larke Pass, up to High Camp. The rugged and steep trail can be slippery in snowy conditions, and since you're descending over a glacier, you need to be extra cautious. Your knees are going to feel it, so adjust your trekking pole height properly and wear knee support if you have one. Go slow again, the terrain can be difficult for many. Day 9 of the Manaslu Circuit trek continues to Bhimthang (3,700 m), a seriously beautiful village nestled right under the Annapurna range. At this point, you've officially entered Manang District (no more Gorkha) and the Annapurna Conservation Area (no longer in Manaslu CA). Day 10 covers about 18 km to reach Tilche. Make sure to stop at Gowa (yes, Nepal’s very own “Goa” 😄). I even met an Indian traveler from Goa there. Funny coincidence! We pushed all the way to Besisahar the same day, which was a bit exhausting due to the rough Manang road conditions. If you prefer a more relaxed return, you can stay the night in Tilche. Just make sure you book a jeep in advance. During peak trekking season, getting one last minute can be tough. I’ve pinned a driver’s number in the video! On Day 11, you head back home. Since I’m from Kathmandu, I hopped on a hiace and was home in just 6 hours. That’s a full 11-day Manaslu Circuit journey for you (check my profile for all the other parts)!
