this is why nz only picks in country also the rugby championship amd six nations both occur outside test windows so should they not count?

Appreciate his point about weakened teams BUT the unions are the ones calling for these matches for the money. Can’t have it both ways.

This has been an issues for years. Northampton Siants I believe were fined by Preimiershio Rugby for “releasing” George North on a fallow week of the six nations.

All england players play in England. That’s the rule we set ourselves. It also means we don’t have access to some of our best players all year round.

Morgs is right. Can't have your cake and eat it too. Players choose to go overseas and if their clubs dont release them or if its too difficult for them to make themselves available then that's on the player. it's all about building depth.

it was never a problem for big teams like the Wallabies when they were a big force in rugby. Pacific teams have faced this problem years ago and they never cared, now all of a sudden it's a talking point 🙄

Australia benefited ranking points wise when they beat scotland outwith the window a few years ago so swings and roundabout eh...

they are not being denied their players. The Unions decide to play extra games outside the window that they have already agreed.

The RFU also had to pay to use the international players, the difference is the ARU refused to play. They were offered the same deal as the RFU.

This would be a different conversation if they’d won.

One of them fully gets it, Australia arranged this test outside the window, the window could be moved or made longer yes, but right now it’s not, so points count. Yes it would be nice to play your best team possible but you knew the rules when you arranged the test

If the Boks beat another that can't field a full strength team, why should those points not count? It is not the Boks' fault.

Don't understand. So you're saying the French could send a second string team to NZ because they allow French players to play/rest elsewhere and NZ who has a full team would get no points??. lucky that didn't happen...oh, it did.
