this is precisely why I feel many women need to think extremely hard before having children. most of us WILL end up single mothers, everything on the mother. if we are not equipped or OK with this- we should pass on having kids

Wow I’ve never met someone with the same story as me! I’m no contact with both of them, but when it comes to my mom I’ll never look at her the same. You could’ve left me just like my dad did but you stayed and decided to hurt me purposely.

My mother was very similar. My bio dad was an addict whom she CHOSE to be with. She grew up in a home with two parents, trips to Disney & love & kindness. I grew up with abuse, trauma & neglect. She should’ve given us up. I’m still in therapy for the trauma she caused.

when my dad abandoned me he literally only abandoned me he kept a solid friendship with my mom and her siblings and their mutual friends ive never understood why they did that like they all knew they were actively hurting me

Facts !!!! My dad did the same and I feel like my mom took it out on me ( she hates him) she did him dirty and I feel like both of them took their issues on each other out on me even with me turning 37 years old my parents are soooo damn toxic .

Girl my father and her where married he was gone most of the time (other countries). That lady ABUSED the ish out of us just because she wanted to. She was cruel, and kept birthing that man babies she didn’t want. 6 to be exact. We deserved great parents.

I'm always going to be bitter about ppl who try to tell me how to respond to the person who was actively, purposefully and continuously abusing me. Like bc they were there, they had MULTIPLE opportunities to do better and chose hell instead
