Cornerstone Baptist Church in Lucas, TX behaved this way back in 2011. I went Sunday and Wednesday, worked the children’s ministry and led multiple groups. I tithed every week for years. I lost my job and asked for help to make rent for the remaining $200. the treasurer told me that “you’re living in sin” because I had been divorced, so they couldn’t agree to give me money. But my “sinful” money was accepted every week… I ended up being evicted two months later.

So as a Knoxville resident and church member, why not call KARM or HOPE Resource Center? Why attack the churches who use these as resources as well. Because if they would help you that’s where we send our support. If they don’t have it, they would tell us and we would send it. Why attack churches? I’m happy to buy formula, anytime. But this is the reason we send it to ministries that specifically are for this need. This isn’t a fair experiment.
