Patience isn’t all that sexy but I realize it’s necessary. Our doom scrolling brains prize instant validation, all the swipes, likes & quick chemistry. Patience doesn’t give those type of dopamine hits, so people rush into “love”… but the irony is patience is what real love requires. Love is an evolving practice, not a performance, we lose ourselves in the pursuit of love & connection all the time. The idea should evolve from falling in love, to growing in love, instead of finding “the one” right away, I view it as learning yourself through each encounter or connection you make in this lifetime. Every short term partner, heartbreak, every misstep in alignment, it is all part of refining your rhythm.  People perform with masks all the time because they’re afraid of being seen before they feel safe. When you stop caring how your perceived, who’s watching or going to say what about you, you start being yourself and that’s when love gets real and you attract more authentic love, and filter out those who aren’t aligned.The healthiest love won’t demand you to be a finished healed project, we all got problems. Deep love will meet you where you are while you’re in your process of self love. Before you come for my neck and say that’s codependency, I believe that’s acceptance. Lastly, your wholeness will attract the best type of love, not the other way around. You don’t find or “fall” into love by waiting & thinking someone will complete you. You build such a meaningful + joyful life that love becomes an addition and not some save the day rescue mission.
