@workplacementor: Replying to @Steve Combs They don’t promote the best people. They promote the safest ones. The ones who won’t make waves or make anyone uncomfortable. And that’s why so many workplaces end up being run by people who have no idea what they’re doing. #toxicworkplace #leadership #workculture #corporate #badboss

As someone who can't help but just do it right when you know how to, how do we climb the ladder without causing insecurity ...how do we make them trust us?

I have been sabotaged at jobs more than once by being a competent, productive worker, because I exposed how incompetent and unproductive everyone else was.

I don't know which companies you researched to come up with this conclusion but every manager I have worked with has indepth knowledge of the job and industry. The clueless ones usually work for the government and get those jobs due to nepotism

Gotta admit, when somebody asks you why you weren’t promoted already… answering “Turned out I was too competent and spooked them” is kinda funny 😂

I feel this so much!! I've been at my job for 3 years and they just promoted 2 people that have been there 7 months. How do we stop this?

I’m ok with it. I’m there to get paid not to rebuild a company. You think stakeholders don’t see that? Not gonna try to reinvent or fix what’s not mine. I’m playing the game. I keep my loyalty for real friends and family, not the forced ones. I’m just a number to them and that’s the way it should be.
