Yall when my now 14yr old was 5 months old I didn’t buckle the crotch. I was on I-10 and she started coughing. Something told me to pull over. SHE WAS BEING CHOKED BY THE CHEST CLIP, she slid down.

The absolute craziest thing about American car safety is that they turn toddlers around. In Norway you rear face to at least 4 yo. For a country that loves driving so much that’s insane.

I corrected someone for not using the crotch buckle and sent them a tiktok of a tech explaining it. 2 days later I had CPS at my house for a false claim because of it.

My child would take her arms out without the clip😂😂😂 she wiggles enough somehow even when the straps are tight.

can you tale about rear facing seat bracing on the front seats and the effects of that on the both the car seats and air bag sensors? pretty sure that the front seat being pushed into my evenflo revolve 360 cause the base locking mechanism to unlatch. do I need to have it inspected me (I didnt do this it was a family member)

I mean it also slows you getting them out in an emergency situation. But mostly I think most people don’t tighten the harness enough and they might be more conscious of that if there was no chest clip.

Idk if there is an answer but are 3 point harnesses any less safe than 5 point? I know we don’t use them in the states but I’ve always noticed in Europe a lot of infant seats use a 3 point harness

Can you make a video about how using the 360 seats sideways while driving is a no no? But don’t reply to my comment cause I want to post to my story so someone will see without me having to directly say anything to them 😅😅 I hate confrontation but want my baby cousin to be safe in the car and I don’t think my cousin realizes

UK here - my sons seat has a “chest clip” he has specialist car seat, that is purely in there as aid to stop him escaping the harness! I will say, I can’t WAIT until he is safe enough to sit sensible and move into a HBB

We have an EU car seat and a US car seat because my husband is stationed in Germany and the EU one is so much easier to get a correct fit on quickly, especially for grandparents!

I’m switching to a convertible from a Joie rue soon. Did chicco get rid of the NextFit line? I see that one reviewed almost everywhere, but only see OneFits on their website. I’m debating between the Chicco Onefit Max or Nuna Rava. I have a 98th percentile 3 month old so he needs extra space.

can you help me with boosters? everything I read just tells the minimum requirements but I want to know when they max out of seats. my kids were rear faced until 7 😆 I'm wondering when they have to switch from 5 point to a regular belt & when they have to move from boosters with backs to without. the .gov website doesn't even mention boosters with backs 😓
