Fallout is anti-war. That's it. That is literally all it is. "War... War never changes..." It is RIGHT there in the opening line of every mainline entry. It is not anti-captialist. It is not anti-communist. It is not anti-oil or anti-nuclear. It is anti-WAR. The ENTIRE SERIES is just one big deep dive into the idea that no matter what idealogy we subscribe to, we will ALWAYS find an excuse to kill each other for one reason or another, because whether you're a captialist, a communist, pro-oil, or pro-nuclear, does not matter. It does not matter how much WE change, because "War... War never changes..."

I feel like outside of nuclear armaments at least with the BGS fallouts nuclear energy is glorified and the only reason the resource wars were such a problem is because all the old infrastructure holding onto oil

My only gripe is the fact the ncr is painted in such a great light and there isn’t really any other “correct” major faction. IMO the way the ncr governs is exactly how you end up in the same spot (nuclear fallout) sure they will most likely rebuild a safe society for the time being but who’s to say nuclear warheads won’t be a reality again in the next 1000 years. If The followers of the apocalypse were a major faction I’d side with them every time but because they are non militaristic they will never get anything besides 3 side quests.
