05/11/2025 🦶🏻TENOTOMY OPERATION🦶🏻clubfoot awareness 💫 Cruz had his tenotomy operation today at 10 weeks old after 7 weeks of casting! The first bit of the video is to show 4 days before his tenotomy his cast slipped off in my hand 😢 no specialists were in over the weekend so he was casted again on Monday I was worried this might set him back but luckily it didn’t. He was casted for a day and I had to take them off myself in the bath at home last night ,which was quite hard trying to cut through them whilst he’s crying 🥲 we had to be at the hospital at 7am this morning where he was put into one of the little cot beds and was observed for a while. The surgeons then came down and marked his feet and we walked down to the theatre. We had lots of cuddles before they took him off to give him his local anaesthetic I was in tears it’s not a nice feeling leaving your baby to go to theatre🥲which felt like forever but actually was quite quick he was out they said he screamed and cried all the way through and had to stop halfway to comfort him 😭 he was still crying when we went into recovery with him but as soon as he heard mummy and daddy he fell asleep in my arms , I’m so proud of you my brave boy ❤️❤️❤️ tenotomy surgery is to correct his feet and bring them upwards lengthen the tendons , his left foot has completely corrected but his right foot not so good so we will be having a review and will get the news whether he will have a second tenotomy ❤️ another step closer to fixing them gorgeous little feet 👣 #clubfoot #clubfootjourney #clubfootcutie #fyp #clubfootbaby - @carterf2416
