$36 a YEAR is what you pay in taxes to SNAP. Jesus calls us to help others, it is not our place to decide who is worthy of benefits or who isn’t. ❤️

There’s SO many people who depend on it. I’d mucchhh rather my tax dollars go to people who need benefits. And if they abuse it, they likely always get caught. That’s not my problem. It’s also maybe $60-70 a month goes towards benefits

as a more conservative leaning christian myself, i get your point that you would prefer your tax dollars go towards organizations you support. but i saw a post that said that’s the point of tax dollars going towards these things because you never know when you’ll need them. you never know when your family will have to rely on the government next. it’s never the goal but we are living in such a trying economy that even those who are working in homes with two incomes, it’s still not enough. sure there are many ppl who abuse the system and i think that’s why trump plans to crack down but there are soooo many people who need to depend on it because the economy just isn’t set up to support the average american family right now. not to mention those on disability, veterans and the elderly
