They originally thought i had “just” masocytic enterocolitis before I was diagnosed with MCAS (idk if i have mastocytic enterocolitis tbh nobody followed up on that). I have more issues with fluids (than solids) with my gastroparesis which is part of why I have a port and TMI but before starting MCAS meds I couldn’t stop going to the bathroom. Endoscopy showed increased mast cells in part of gi tract for me🤷🏻♀️

Question! Have you had a HIDA scan? If so, how is it? I’m suppose to have one at the end of the month and I’m nervous. Do I need to take all of my piercing out? I just got my nose done a few weeks ago. 🙈

Do you know if you need visible inflammation for it to be considered mastocytic enterocolitis? My mast cell count CD117 was 58 per hpf in SI but GI said no visible inflammation so “ruled it out”

I got my gallbladder removed and every time I eat I feel nauseous and stomach pains and I barely have an appetite. I have a doctors appointment tomorrow 🤦🏽♀️

Did they tell you how are you going to prep for your scopes? (Like take lax by mouth or?) I’ve been doing endo/colonoscopies once-twice a year for 15 years now and i dread it everytime 🙃 tho i did come up with a fun system a couples year back and it helped

I don’t absorb fluid though my GI tract at all and have been told it’s because MCAS.
