@unbridledvoice: This is an edit of my prayerformance for the ritual theater program I’m in with @artofloving We’ve been working with the archetype Lilith and the astrology of our Black Moon Lilith. Mine is in Leo in the 4th house. Or as my beloved friend @maiaofgaia put it “you were not made to fit the doll house. You were born to smash it.”l Lilith is the parts in us exiled in order to survive. As I was envisioning my offering it became clear that I needed to speak, sound, move through the unspeakable wound of my family. Before she had me, my mom had two sons. When they were young she got a divorce, met my Dad and left them in order to ran away with him across the country. She accidentally got pregnant with me a couple years later. No one in my family told me this or speaks of this. I had to out the pieces together myself. I am a living embodied reminder of the gaping wound my family wants to forget, silence, and shame. For awhile now I’ve felt this feral desire to stab my mom in the face. This unfathomable rage that felt like, if I let it out, it would overcome me. So I decided to let Lilith take me there. Because I knew underneath all that rage was a wound that needed to be tended to and the only way to get there was to feel the sacred anger first. We’re holding a No Apologies Rage Ritual next Monday 10am PT live and recorded on zoom, and we’re calling in play as our ally. Cause yes, rage is intense. But with play at our side, we expand our capacity to go to the places that scare us (emotionally speaking;) This is just one of the thread we’ll be exploring in our holiday support coven: Reclaim Your Sacred No. We’re coming together to unravel the threads of codependency, expectation and obligation right with their the thickest.
