I am a Christian. I believe in the idea of God because it brings me comfort and hope in something "more" or devine. I do not believe through evidence or intellectual reasoning. It's just because of emotion and the desire to have an understanding of the unknown. There is no reason for me to try to convince Athiests to believe in a god as well.
