Repairable is its biggest selling point, the speed feature is second and the made in the USA is just the icing on the cake. Plenty of people here in the comments with no idea what a quality vice costs or is worth complaining about the price but that is a good value for what it is and the speed in a professional role will pay for itself in short order.

This is a great example of what I've been trying to explain to people about spending more money HERE in this country! Our, buy it cheap and get it fast, society is what's keeping us from making more money. We buy items, made abroad, because it's cheaper, but that money leaves our country! Investing in America creates companies HERE, employs people HERE, and keeps OUR money HERE!

in the oilfield we use a lot of Wilton. they're not cheap. broken plenty of them. at home, I'll never have to buy another. that vise is an investment in time, efficiency, and the American manufacturing industry. the bigger the company gets, the cheaper they will be. never going to be at harbor freight prices, but it'll last a lifetime

$1500 for a vice? you would need to be standing at that vice all day every day to get your ROI. At that point every second would count. for a regular mechanic shop or home do it yourself'er you would never see your ROI. Time is always a factor but you would never get your ROI in most scenarios outside of manufacturing assembly scenarios. even in manufacturing or assembly scenarios, they are prolly only unlocking and locking the handle in small gaps and not opening and closing the vice completely each time with 50 large size changes a hour. Trying to draw out price for ROI in a assortment of scenarios. does not make sense. I would like to know sales quantity numbers verses other vice manufacturing sales quantity numbers on the bench vice. cool vice, but over priced. seems as it would only be a look what my vice can do and how careless I spend $ for ROI. Make this make sense? does the quick release really get you your ROI within a reasonable time frame?
the quick release does not lock the vice tight. you still need to turn that handle.

I’ll wait for the Icon version that will come out in 3 months for 1/3 the price. I like small business and support when I can, but I can’t spend $1400 on something I’ll use once every 6 months

I have a vice that is literally over 80 years old. It’s not only a vice. It’s an anvil as well. Wouldn’t take nothing for it. It belongs to my stepdad and his dad before that.

Wait wait wait! Almost every vice I've seen has a quick ratchet kinda system like this, record I'm certain will have them, America seems to always be decades off.
