We are observing the effects of global warming and environmental racism with more intense and destructive storms during hurricane systems. These AI systems might give small monetarily benefits for our community but the we shall give up much more in the exchange. The water consumption and greenhouse emissions shall ruin the land we’re on

I'm almost 100% against this. these AI companies are not even building power infrastructure for their data centers in the United States where they have easy access to do so. there's no reason to believe that they will be doing that in the Caribbean countries where they may want to set up shop. I've yet to see evidence that the AI industry is anything but a burden on the communities where they physically set up shop.

They should just put them on giant floating barges. And operate them within the territories water so they can capitalize on the benefits I guess and potential labor force. without taking up any land on the island. The owners of these companies spend hundreds of millions of dollars on boats. let them build their data centers on their yachts

Thank you for bringing this to light and speaking on it. I had no idea this was even a conversation. I hope the Caribbean can have a united effort on how to approach this so our islands dont get screwed over by these larger corporations.

I’d love for them to rebuild our grid. I don’t like the warming of ocean water.
