This was my daughter’s Valentine’s Day story on ig… I’m with you, especially with a ballet core ad, they are missing out! Why not hire a dancer posing in the shoes with ballerinas in the background in pointe shoes or ballet flats for the flats?!? I’d be more inspired to purchase if I was looking for a ballet core look.

But they aren’t dance shoes. They are just shoes that have the same style. Our dance is the only ones going to be wearing those shoes? If not then hiring a non-dancer is not a big deal. It’s not like they are actual point shoes.

As a photographer I would totally perfer seeing what a dancer does with heels. To me that’s power and talent to keep dancing in those stilettos and accurately.

I don’t understand why they don’t look for dancers as models all the time. The shapes they can make, the balance, the jumps… it just seems like a natural fit for high fashion.
