This seems to happen with all the limited edition items. I think it was last year or the year prior tha they released the red Stanley. And people went nuts over it.

As a starbucks barista whats causing the most commotion is that a lot of baristas have been buying them before the store opens and the people outside get mad and bc it’s limited stock but there’s no specific discount for it. When people use any personal cup, you can get a small discount which is not even a dollar less but besides that it’s really just a cute cup lol

it's the 1st time its been released despite it being released in other countries for years. The problem for instance I watched a worker at Safeway work buy 4 there should of been a cap since there was a limited stock. If you're a collector like me it was hurtful.

I'll tell you from my perspective. I have wanted one of these for 20 years they have been sold in Asia every year and you can get one on eBay for $100 to $150 with shipping. Which I refuse, its a cup lol! I also know how anything virial is on Tiktok, if you're not there before resellers, hang it up! Meaning if you want one at retail price you have to get up and put in the wait time. I know its just a cup but I love bears and wanted one for SO long and this was the first chance to get at retail. I could care less about the hype but I'll use it everyday! Funny thing is US resellers are now making the Asian ones more affordable.
