i genuinely think he was in love with her but he hated how he was in love w her. no one discussed that scene in the first episode of season 2 where Nate is imagining his life with Cassie, they showed Jules? Like one scene when he was thinking abt Cassie he thought of Jules and Jules appeared in the scene. Nate loved her

I think Nate was romantically attracted to Jules, but acknowledging that feeling would mean confronting his father’s sexuality, which triggered a strong sense of rejection in him. He believed that treating Jules and Maddy harshly would make him more masculine, but it didn’t
