I agree that Alastor definitely didn't resent her at first! Although the fact that he knows all the words to "dont you forget" makes me think that he's been fed up with her for AWHILE! How many times has she had to sing THAT song to him? 🤣

I think in defence of Rosie. I think she believed he understood the limitations. With him being able to contact her when he was alive. she would assume that means he was knowledgeable. and to and extend thought it was rather obvious

honestly I like her more now, we've seen how Alastor treats Husk and how Val treats Angel, he gets WAY more respect as long as he isn't sassing her. also he went proactively KNOCKING on her door while he was still alive and thriving, did not feel like a desperation or last resort kind of deal

I think you’re right that they used to be fond of each other, & getting hurt made his resentment fester, but I think it’s been building for a long time. He’s been trapped under contract with Rosie for nearly a century, so I don’t think it’s new. He says in their song that she’s the one who made him disappear for 7 years (which meant he couldn’t inspire fear and be on air) and that he’s been holding back his rage.

during their conversation though Alistor said about being the most powerful in hell and she says you are. wouldn't that imply that she is unable to bo any for him but if she says that it would look like she no longer holds the chains

I'm just mad cause i spent all this time between season 1 and 2 reading beautiful fanfics about Rosie like a mother torwards Alastor who patches him up after the battle and deeply worries and cares about him, just to find out that canon Rosie laughes at him for trying to fight Adam. 😭

um no, he wasn't happy to see her...he lacked enthusiasm with Rosie and doesn't hug her back but with Mimzy he had a lot of enthusiasm and hugged her back. when Rosie said "old Alastor has never done me wrong before" there's a blink and you'll miss it moment where Alastor glares at her. Alastor probably was being nice because he had to get Charlie to trust her and he was being professional to his boss...

I agree with Rosie that yes, he is the strongest sinner but that demean you can take on an archangel. Like, if he was able to humble himself for like…ten seconds he would be able to see this very obvious fact. I don’t think he hates her, just his situation.

(slight Spoiler for episode 4)I do think it's interesting knowing this now to look back in how Alastor dealt with Lucifer. in season 1 he egged Lucifer on and mocked him, but after getting beat by Adam their brief interaction was Alastor just scowling then quit. I assume because he realized he wasn't as powerful as he thought

I think with the season heading the way we’ve seen. As well as the non leak-y interviews; with Patrick Page in the studio and the sins on the wall and alastor’s reality hitting him the face that being a powerful sinner isn’t anything to angels or even deadly sins or the ars goatia. I think when the Vee’s fall, and taking maybe some overlords with them and Lilith and her sinner focus being gone I think we may be seeing hellborn coming in to fill the gap which is going to be BAD for them because they’ve been spared the hell caste system problems

I think people are starting to realize that maybe not all their favorite characters are going to be redeemed but as an Alastor fan I’ve known he’s probably not going to get a redemption arc and that’s fine. I love how fun and bratty he is as a villain.
