That gray rubber is absolutely removable and replaceable. just takes a little work and alot of elbow grease. 😅

My husband’s a welder I used to think OxiClean powder was the best thing to use to wash his clothes then found that it leaves soot in my washer. Personally, I use the arm & hammer oxiclean liquid form somehow gets the blue collar mess while not destroying our washer. Idk why there’s such a difference in liquid and powder but I wish someone would have told me sooner.

everytime you finish washing, take a dry washcloth and wipe off the inside of the door, the rubber circular piece, and take the detergent drawer out and wipe the inside. just a 20 second routine that keeps it from ever getting moldy or mildewy

I think its soap stuck to the door, if something doesn't get washed correctly it sometimes has that texture too it so im assuming your door has soap that solidified

Everyone has prob already said this but only use detergent. No beads, no softener, NONE OF THAT!!! And not too much detergent, only ever fill to the first line. Always leave open when not in use, & top loading washers are better than front loading :)
