I kinda feel like they did the same game with black people (me) like our litmus test for progress is being “allowed” in corporate spaces and being given “opportunities” to get ahead via “promotions”

I’m an Engineering leader who’s been in field for 33yrs starting in military at 17. I’m Hispanic, very queer, & disabled. I worked with many other women & POC engineers. DEI ruined it. Everyone thinks I’m here to fill a number now. Now, ppl are convinced there were no women in the field so I “couldn’t possibly have the actual experience.” It’s awful.

Everyone who works a labour job: farming, construction, doctors, so on should get paid fairly for their labour and get a pension. Not that a theortical physics teacher is not work or does not has value, but is filling papers for a construction company work in the same sense as being a builder? I listened to the Yotube discussion on this. To me: it seemed they were to be saying, because men and women are different: they will not be able to be wasteworkers in the same way. Perhaps I am puting my own words and thoughts on the conclusion. To be honest, I dont know anything about DEI, it would seem if: their quota was get a work place to 50% women, the others would be men, intersex, queer, and so on, also Im not confident in my understanding of academic feminism. I will say as a straight man for me feminism in the workplace is making sure the place I work for is ethical for people to work at, and try to be a good coworker, so Im not sure what feminism in a larger way means.
