The event is held outside Chiang Mai, away from communities. The lanterns are biodegradable and fall after about 8 minutes. Locals can collect and sell them back to organizers, helping reduce waste. It’s a truly beautiful experience worth seeing at least once. Welcome to Chiangmai,Thailand :)
