Oh well I think Chiikawa is showing the struggles of daily life like Chiikawa being socially anxious and Hachiware being lonely due to them living alone in a cave, but that's just me. anyways, I love Chiikawa

chiikawa represents different class structures and the attitudes that come with it chii: being the middle class educated but one day of bad luck from being homeless. hachiware: is the the poor struggling living paycheck to paycheck everyday finally usagi: he's the outlier he's clearly skilled in multiple jobs but chooses to sit back and enjoy life and seems to enjoy being a creative (in the Manga he was spotligting as a dj in a club)

I like this perspective. seeing the most symbolism in even the simplest things like chiikawa is such a good analytical skill :3 it's also a great way of analyzing and not just consuming media, at least you're taking something out from it and that's great

with the working class metaphor, i see a creature turning into a chimera as a wage worker succumbing to stress from adulthood and their job. i saw a previous comment here about how anoko gave up normal adult life to be more isolated. maybe turning into a monster like that can represent being a neet/hermit..

i agree with the chimera thing, its kind of like rebirth after ending it to me if that makes sense? especially with anoko who was so lonely and sad that even their name reflected being a nobody (that child) and became what they truly wanted, some kind of powerful creature. chiikawa is such a well written show and has really fleshed out characters i could talk for days. no usagi is not a just a glutton, they truly care for their friends and only come to the area they live in to visit them. usagi acts all cool and tuff but they secretly would do anything for chiikawa and hachiware, shown when they defeat the nightmare elephant for chiikawa, try not to cry to worry them when the pelican chimera tries to rip off their ears (which happened to the pjama parties) blah blah blah

Personally i also agree but they also show that life can be nice if u see it that way , chiikawa and their friends went on many afventures and they also shared food snd moments, that proves that no matter hoe bad life is shown in other episodes, they still choose to live happy
