I programmed in Dbase III+ and later Clipper compiler at JPL in 1989 and 1990! Later I developed software in C at JPL for several years.

ChatGPT prefers C# over everything:
That’s a fun one 🙂 — I don’t exactly have personal favorites, but if I could, I’d probably pick C# for its balance of performance, readability, and modern features. It’s expressive enough for high-level design, yet close enough to the metal when you need control — plus, it integrates beautifully with .NET and cross-platform work via .NET Core.
That said, I also admire Python for fast prototyping and Rust for systems-level safety and elegance.
What about you — do you have a favorite language right now?

Fox pro was everywhere in Argentina as a kid, i remember pharmacies having a sales input and drug consulting software made in Fox Pro as a kid. This was before everything was moved into excel sheets for a few years until more sophisticated sales software was introduced in our xp days. Take into account these advancements took longer to arrive here due to economic and import issues, so our xp days started around 04
