I say this with love … but it has to be said. Summer is not a reason you have to give up on all your goals. And before I continue, let me say also … I have probably done all of these in the past. Threw the baby out with the bathwater around the middle of July and told myself ‘whatever, I’ll start again come September’. Until I realised that it was just an endless cycle of stopping and starting. So if this is you, every year, I say this with love … 📌 SAVE and SHARE if you agree. 1. You don’t need to give up on your goals just because it’s the summer. Maybe your routine is different, but figuring out how to fit your habits into this new routine will make sure you’re feeling great come September 1. 2. If you feel like you need to have ‘all the food’ when you’re travelling, it’s probably because you’re denying yourself the foods you love during the rest of the year. 3. Perfectionism can easily ruin your holidays if you let it. Instead of constantly aiming to get things just right, work on actually being present instead. 4. Excessive alcohol consumption is a sure fire way to not be present and to feel even worse when you come back from your trip than when you left. You don’t need to drink like it’s your job. 5. Weekly BBQs and a busy social life don’t mean that your food choices have to go out the window. You still decide what goes on your plate and in your mouth. 6. You’re not too busy to move. Your priorities might be different over the summer so find ways to move that fit into your life as it is right now. 15 minutes is better than nothing. 7. Our bodies thrive on consistency.
